Default ATC DELFAA pens tentative aiAYS TO END SOON??

Just got this off Charles Schwab:

FAA pens tentative air-traffic labor agreement MarketWatch Pulse News Bullet - August 13, 2009 2:31PM EDTNEW YORK (MarketWatch) -- The Federal Aviation Administration said Thursday it reached a tentative labor agreement with the National Air Traffic Controllers Association, ending years of strained relations and moving the country closer to upgrading its aging traffic-control system. "The joint decision to engage in mediation was an important first step, and today's proposed agreement represents a milestone on the final road to settlement, which awaits ratification by union members," the two groups said in a joint release. Members have 45 days to ratify the agreement. Once ratified, the FAA wants to accelerate efforts to adopt NextGen, a satellite-based control system that will replace the current land-based radar system.

So far, from what I've seen on the NATCA BBS, about %75 are real mad, %25 mad and accepting that a lot was abitrid and beyond NATCA's control, and %25 figuring it could have been worse.

A lot of no notice retirement threats.

Ya'll be careful out there. ATC's head may not be firmly in place for a bit.

Correct me if I'm wrong...but does this mean that guys who have been controlling for 20 years have to learn a new system?

That's to cover those who say one thing, then vote another.

At Delta, that percentage has to be near 51%. So any accurate poll of Delta pilots has to add up to at least 151%.

No one voted for any of our concessionary contracts and nearly nobody for the JPWA, but, they sure passed. They need to revise the answer to the polling questions:

(1) Support
(2) Disagree
(3) Support - but embarrassed

Depends where they are stationed.
Basically, by 2012 the pay scales will be back to what they were in 2006. The high end guys (ORD, DFW, ATL, some Centers) will break 100K once certified, with a top end of around 139K.

The lower end's minimum is 39K, maxing out at 53K.

I'm sober tonight, the math should be good.
