See what I mean?

Thanks again. If it wasn't for JB there would be an awful lot of stranded UAL people in Florida.

Just curious. I know you guys have an "individual" contract.

Wondered if you could post a summary as well as a synopsis of your ROE relating to scheduling practices, etc.

Broaden our horizons some!

FWIW I think you guys did a great job on the pay issue, especially getting retro!

I ride you guys every week BOS-JFK and back, and the crews have been absolutely awesome every time. I fly for Eagle, and since they closed our BOS base Jetblue has become a crew shuttle for us to get to JFK with 5-8 pilots JSing on every flight, without you guys we would be screwed!! Thank you!

They tend not to over book so there are almost always a few empty's in the back for us poor jumpseaters. Once you are booked for the JS, you can check in at a kiosk and just wait for your name to be called. Overall, much better experience that on some legacy carriers.
I agree JB rocks when it comes to jump seating! Thanks guys.

We are signing our PEA's on the new payrates sept 1st, and we will see it in our paychecks on Oct 20th, and it is retro back to June 1st. Just flew with the Training Manager for the 190 a few weeks ago and asked him about any hiering late this year, and he said its not going to happen, at the soonest it will be in 2010. Every pilot I have flown with is pretty excited about the new pay and work rules coming, there are a few 320 guys that are upset that the 13.30 rig is going away, but considering how small of a portion of the pilot group that benifited there are much better rigs and overrides that will benifit 100% of the group. As for us not getting a union, I think it has benifited us pretty well, we seen 15-35% pay increase for most of the pilot group and major work rules and rigs comming our way in less than 10 months time, if we had voted YES it would have been well over a year to get the same things we are getting now.

What have the hiring mins been in the past. I'll be coming out of the army next spring and would love to be picked up by Jet Blue. I may not have thousands of hours of regional jet flying, but hopefully my military experience will help make my fewer hours just as valuable.

In the past, it has been 1000 PIC (does not have to be turbine), 500-1000 turbine (turboprops included), and 1500 total time. Military has received a 0.3 conversion on all time. There are quite a few furloughs out there so the "competitive" mins have moved higher in the most recent hiring period.

Your military experience will serve you well. JetBlue likes military guys as much as they like high time regional captains. Hour and experience help secure the interview, but, if you really desire to come here, go to a flight ops open house with a JetBlue booth or a company open house in Orlando. Meet and Greet.

Glad to see JB took a step in the positive direction on the pay rates....congrats.
No retro with out a contract. Why was a union voted out anyway?

Don't expect retro w/o a contract or on mgt's word.

Why was a union voted down?
