Used to be a TRAMCO in Everett, WA Don't know if it's still around.

If you're in the DFW area, channel 8 reporter B. Harris has been doing a series on San Antonio Aerospace using foreign and non-licensed mechanics. Also if you're really an AA intern, you will find that AA is the only airline left that does approx. 95+ % of its maintenance in-house

News 8 Investigates: Airline mechanics who can't read English | Byron Harris | WFAA.com

FAA under investigation following News 8 reports | Byron Harris | WFAA.com
Reading these stories really makes you feel all warm and fuzzy inside doesn't it? I had not realized that these companies were actually IMPORTING foreign workers to take what used to be and SHOULD be good SKILLED,American middle class jobs. At one time I was really angry about all the outsourcing, losing my pension and then my job but that anger has slowly turned it's self into apathy..I just don't care anymore. Well maybe a little bit. And sadly, if you have spent any time in this business at all you'll know that the FAA is a tombstone agency...

Why would you need to know this?

This seems like a security threat to me. I think this thread should be deleted.

LOL, this is laughable, domestic airlines have airframes farmed out all over the world, in country's that have no background check requirements, drug testing requirements, license requirements or require the ability read, write or comprehend manuals that are written in english and you are worried about an intern requesting info that could be had by doing a simple internet search, nice.....Quite frankly I find it most disturbing that most of you, judging by the activity of this thread, could care less where the airliners that you fly and your families fly on not to mention all the people sitting behind you fly on are are maintained.
