Yeeeee-Haw! At least Lambourne won't be able to whine about preferential treatment...well at least until we start throwing pizza parties every day for the good folks in Iceland and Shanwick. Do the Irish like pizza?
Position: B-737NG preferably in first class with a glass of champagne and caviar

Nah... they love corned beef from the Carnigie Deli, hagels and cream cheese from H & H and smoked salmon from Greengrassers
international rules require widebody aircraft and dual class? I think EOS was operating single class 757's, and nearly every major airline in the US flies 757's across the Atlantic.
What is unclear is whether or not the 1-2-3 rule will still apply in US dollars, or in local currency.
I think that the writer was awkwardly stating that in order to compete, you would have to offer two class service on a wide body. You are never going to have a truly low cost structure to Europe, so you need to find a way to raise enough revenue to justify flying over there.
"Gaaaandear, Gaaaandear, So'west Triple One, we wantin' to make a po-sishun repor'. But instead is there any way we can get a shortcut off these thangs you call tracks. Maybe sumtin little farther down the road"
Wonder if they will start with service to Hull in the UK? Seems a like a great demographic for SWA.
Also, it will make the 123.45 conversations between the Russians a lesser of two evils.
Nice, monkeyboy, I am just a poolie at SWA, but I would bet that I have made as many position reports as you have. Lots of my buds at SWA have vast overwater exp as well. Your constant slamming very telling as to how happy a person you are. Sad. Very SAD.
Question is who will do the over the pond flying? I think it will go junior. Most SWA guys I know are former military, & they've done enough pond crossings to last them the rest of their lives!
As much as passengers dislike flying the B757 over the pond (they complain it's too small), it'll be nice to see how much they gravitate to something even smaller. Also, the markets to Europe out of Islip and Providence must be staggering.........
