I usually just read while bored on overnights. I usually never even login. I had to reset password just to remember it.
Your statement is very inaccurate. In the ASA signed between RAH and Midwest and made public 9/3/08 stated that"the agreement has a term of ten years. However Midwest can elect to convert the ASA into a long term aircraft lease. The 12 E170s would be leased from Republic for the remaining duration of the ASA and operated on the Midwest Airlines operating certificate".
The opportunity was there for Midwest to take these airplanes and continue on.
I am assuming that the effort was made with the pilot group to negotiate these aircraft as well as the FAA to place these on the certificate.
As for BB, WH or the RAH pilot group. Your frustrations should be placed first and foremost towards TPG. The failure in renegotiating the lease with Boeing started the plummet.
As for the impending furloughs with the removal of the 717s, this was the case from the announcement of the return of the aircraft.
All I know is how I feel about the situation as well as what I am told by our integration committee. I do want a "fair and equitable" integration. I do want this with all parties involved (Frontier, Midwest, Lynx, and Mokulele). Our integration committee will proceed with this as one process with all parties involved.
This has gone on longer than I wanted but let me reiterate the point. Midwest had to option, per the ASA signed between RAH and Midwest, to have those aircraft of the Midwest Certificate. I also know the time frame to achieve that was at minimum 18 months.
