Dude....I never speed through a school zone...however, I have on occasion pushed up to 57 or 58 on the highway...just my way of stickin' it to the man...Dude!

Depends on what part of the world you are in. Many places around the world provide wind information with takeoff and landing clearences... for the tape of course...

If an ATIS is calling for gusty winds, I will ask for a wind check on final........mostly in hopes that the tower doesn't mention the gusty part anymore. Funny thing is....it seems to work 50% of the time!!!
