Agree. But like I said, pilots aren't the ONLY labor group, and not the only skilled labor group. How do you feel about the cuts that people such as MX's and DX's had to take?

I'll repeat it, I've taken FOUR hourly cuts since 9/11, I DON'T LIKE IT ONE BIT!!!!!!! I've NEVER forgotten how important or skilled our employee group is. The sad part is that we value it, management doesn't. It doesn't help in an environment where the supply for that skill in plentiful, demand for that skill isn't. It's been working against us for quite some time, and won't change anytime soon.

Ha, our is $132.83 for NB F/O, but of course it is the number of hours that is important.

dojet,

I know what you are trying to get at, but I have to parse words with you a bit. How exactly do "we" value how important our worth is when "we" are the ones who vote to take these paycuts in the first place?

Personally, I think "we" have been working against us for some time and it's up to us to change things. But, we have to change our expectations first. I hope we do that soon.

975 hour min year. Unfortunitly these guys are staring a layoff in the face and most have volunteered for reduced flying in an attempt to hold onto a job.

"We" are saying the same thing

As far the bold part, we know what we're worth. The three times I've voted no on a concession I did it because we're worth more. But sadly, what we know and market forces are not always congruent. But be careful when you say what you said in the part I put in bold. I agree with you, but there's always the "you'll get it taken away in BK" crowd.

SWA has a 1 year captain scale, too - doesn't mean much though.
There were many second year guys in the widebodies and some 1st year guys back in 2000 at UAL. My 4th year pay was 169/hr on the 777, this is back when SWA topped in the 120's for 12 year captain. One of the reasons I never even applied to SWA....who knew?

I think our guarantee is only 884, but a lot will be well below that this year. The other thing, this is our final raise until the next contract is signed in 2011 or 2015. You guys are not that dumb.
