Does it really matter how long he has been at a legacy?....he is there...you are not.

His Legacy is probably one of the reasons that your regional is even there.

Don't expect to see recovery in 2010. It's gonna be a tough one.

And sadly, we're just pilots. The "his" and the "your" has nothing to do with the existence of either company.

Default Sooner or later...

You guys will figure out there are too many seats chasing too little market. There will be failures and people on the streets. There will be those that will fly for free just to fly. At some point in time you just have to make a career change and thats it or starve. Its all up to the individual pilot.

You can not expect those with 20-35 years senority with a Major to support your dreams...that is a fact my friends and you need to go back to your College Professors who forgot to explain the Airline Biddness to you but gladly took your daddy's dough.

Tough Love but the Truth.

I agree that is is very sad that unemployment continues to rise. Too bad managements pay continues to rise as well. However, it is very important to note that unemployment is a LAGGING economic indicator. Airlines, along with a few other industries, have historically been the last to emerge from a recession.

Default business model is broken

The business model is broken. The steel industry, railroads, United States Postal Service and the Airlines all have much in common. It will never be the same.
