American Airlines latest?

My guess is somewhere around 500 to 600 of the remaining 1173 will eventually return. The more senior TWA furloughees are closer to a captain bid than anyone else on furlough because they are protected in STL, as the TWA captains retire over the next 10 years, the only pilots entitled to those jobs are former TWA pilots, a lot of whom are on furlough.

I have no problem with that, as long as my system seniority number changes to reflect my original TWA DOH.
Remember---TWA pilots who were 'integrated'into AA, didn't approve/disapprove or have any comment on the content or provisions of terms and conditions of Supplement CC to the APA CBA. It was crammed down our throat with no input or feedback from our group whatsoever.
APA (with ALPA's help and tacit approval) crafted all of Supp CC, and you'll just have to live with it.

Did TWA not have protections in their contract to insure a fair integration? Did they waive those protections voluntarily to entice AMR to buy them?

Do you honestly think a TW guy that lost his job back in 2000 has sat at home doing absolutely nothing the last decade? Plenty of the TW guys got a job elsewhere. I had the privilege of flying with several of them when I was a check airman. Trust me, they are doing just fine at another airline.
Merry Christmas!

Approximately 1 of every 3 recalls are returning, the rest are deferring. Some will defer until they have more seniority, some will take the recall and go on a MLOA, some will defer as a "back up" plan to their current situation. Once they reach the end of the list the 3 year deferral clock starts (probably early 2012).
