Wonder how that will effect the SLI, a new hire on the Airways side going on the AA list initially.
Yeah you do realize your nugget of info needs some major source backup.

I don't see how that's possible until there's one operating certificate. After that milestone, then yes new hires can be assigned to either side. Until then we are two separate airlines owned by the same parent company.

Why would it matter? Mesaba interviewed and hired new hires for the Colgan certificate a few years back. Don't see why it matters who hires you. They can put x amount of people on one certificate and x amount on the other. Still two totally separate airlines.

My quals/background almost exactly (except I'm a little older). I got the nod. Keep the faith!

I'ld say that is a safe bet.. but funny thing is that AA has a weird DOH based on the time you finish all your initial quals, rather than the day you show up for indoc. But, yes, obviously anyone that was hired after the merger should expect to be feathered together by a common DOH method, regardless of which current list they are added to.

The only downside I see to that is that we'll all be coming into the gate with the seat belt sign off and the lights on! (The switches flip opposite on the East and West 319s/320s).
I know they are mixing metal on the 320 fleet, but I don't think they are doing it on any other type... Definitely no West qualified 330 pilots or 190 pilots, and not sure about the 75/767...

AA - DOH is DOH.

Seniority date comes with completion of training.

Is DOH used for anything?

How does US Airways notify their applicants that interviewed? Phone call, email, letter in the mail? Interviewed this past week and they said it could take a few weeks to hear something, but I forgot to ask how the notification comes.
