Default US Airways Calls

Just curious to know if anyone who applied since the window most recently opened has received a call or invitation to interview?

Chuckle now XJT, we'll all be laughing at you flying a 50-70 seat a/c for the rest of your career making pennies. When we become the worlds largest carrier making rates that you would have wet dreams about and your still a regional working for us.

At what point does a "captain" become a captain?

When he/she signs for the airplane. The captain of a 50 seat jet deserves the same respect as the one of a 400+ one, if he/she earns it. Unfortunately it doesn't prevent them from being a tool and looking down on others. Don't want the job and a temporary cut in pay then don't apply, but you don't have to put down those that do. Pilots seem to be particularly bad at this kind of thing. Just remember, you might be in the barrel tomorrow.

The problem is, if he wasn't fooling around, he would be correct. I'm a 6 year FO at one of the US Airways regionals, and if I went to US Airways i would take a pay cut for at least 3 years. And thats a regional FO to a MAJOR FO... Tell me that is not bull...

Don't mean to stir the pot, only stating the facts.

I hope the hiring picks up soon so i can move over to the left seat and get on the road to getting in with a Major.

That is a really intelligent response. No wonder this industry is sliding downhill so fast with that kind of mentality.

I would really like to see ANY pay scale at ANY carrier in this entire industry that someone "would have wet dreams about". Geeze !

Highest 6 year fo pay at any regional that flies for airways is 45 an hour, most are less. Second year airbus pay is 57 an hour. While bad, that is more. First year 190 pay is 42 an hour. I get the argument from regional captains who can't or don't want to take the cut but as an fo it's crazy. If you could get hired there is almost no downside.
