I hope the window is not closed for too long, I heard we are losing two more fo's this month. Both around 5 or 6 months seniority.
I believe the application is valid for longer than a year but the online personality test is only valid for a year.

I believe you can update your profile/times anytime you want. If you've already applied, you're good.

If you ask certain FltOps management staff, we have no plans to hire the rest of the year as "we are adequately staffed." Ask HR/Hiring dept and it's a different story. Can't imagine how we can't hire more with new aircraft hitting the line in the next month or two. Even if they don't hit until sept like some claim, that's still 4 aircraft with a min of 11ish? per seat. While CAs are really understaffed, FOs aren't that overstaffed. They will need to hire or they're delusional in thinking we can staff 10 more airplanes as we stand now.

Between winter draw downs and the additional Hawaii flying this year block hours are going to remain fairly flat until march of next year. So although we probably will be hiring some, the big push won't be until January'ish.

Thanks guys! So I guess the rumor(s) of hiring resuming this Fall are not as solid as we might have thought? Interesting HR is saying one thing to you guys while Flight Ops says another, I wonder who trumps who in that deal.

While this is absolute true (above), for now, it's the bean counter that ultimately decides.

I can understand this scenario, but we're getting at least 4 airplanes online this year. They're not gonna let them sit, they're gonna put them to work (expand markets we shrunk like Portland) and we don't have the staffing in the left seat to do that. We're appropriately staffed on the FO side so upgrades will create a shortage which means hiring. Everyone I know in the pool has been told to expect September for hiring to resume which actually makes sense. Maybe it won't be as much as this last winter/spring, but I think it'll be more than a trickle.

I thought it was 3 planes, but I guess it doesn't really matter. They'll just run the staffing so thin like a regional.
