Thanks Farmer!

A friend sent me this. Thought it was pretty funny, but probably has been posted plenty of times before...

Does anyone know if a Chief Pilot calls to offer you a job after the decision board and you do not answer will they leave a message?

Based on my recent experience your answer is yes. A message was left that identified them as a SWA CP and a phone # to call back.

Good question! And Great answer!

One of the hazards of our job...sometimes completely unavailable until we land.

I picked up the voice mail from a chief pilot while on the ground during a turn. I was pretty excited and decided I was too distracted to fly the last leg home. I kept telling myself there is no way they would call to give me bad news, only good news warranted a call. I made the call the next morning since it was late at night when I finally made it home. Unfortunately, the phone looked a little closer to this than an iPhone 6!

Training at the regionals was better as sad as that may be.
Whackmaster,
For the first time in APC history I actually agree with your post! Wow, what is the world coming to.
On second thought, I might have to disagree -- you said it could be pared down a week -- I'd have to go with a 2 week reduction if they got rid of the ra ra and the wasted training days. Cheers.

Hearing the same thing out on the line. Decent pay raises, minor reserve changes, and very little if any changes to retirement is what I'm hearing but some MAJOR changes to Section 1.
SWAPA better have one helluva education program to convince us that Section 1 changes will not harm our careers.
