Southwest hiring info

The SWA training program now includes the Oral and Type ride if you don't have one already. I went through the transition class earlier this year and about 2/3 of the class were 717 guys and needed the type. I had a 737 SIC type rating from AT and they didn't bother typing me for PIC at SWA.

A friend sent me this. Thought it was pretty funny, but probably has been posted plenty of times before...

Unless you're a complete ef up with a $7itty attitude, you won't wash out. Quality of the training? Wow. Where to even start. It sucks just to summerize. WAY too much ra ra bu!!$hit and wasted days, and not enough meat and potatoes. It could easily be pared down a week.
Training at the regionals was better as sad as that may be.

For the first time in APC history I actually agree with your post! Wow, what is the world coming to.
On second thought, I might have to disagree -- you said it could be pared down a week -- I'd have to go with a 2 week reduction if they got rid of the ra ra and the wasted training days. Cheers.

SWAPA better have one helluva education program to convince us that Section 1 changes will not harm our careers.
