Not so. Everyone was highlighting how it was cheaper for the passengers to cross the boarder and catch a flight. My point was that while some people do that, and we take them, it doesn't explain why we don't serve Canada itself, as there is still a large market there. We don't go there because it is much more expensive for the AIRLINE. To put it another way, even if a number of Canadians didn't cross the boarder to catch a flight in the US, we still most likely would not serve Canada.

Anyone have any gouge on how easy or hard it is for a first year FO at JFK on the AB to group your workdays together so you can maximize your days off and minimize the number of times you have to commute each month?

Well currently because of 117 rules the company won't let you do more than 5 reserve days in a row or single days off. You're on reserve 18 days a month so by my count you still have to commute 4 times a month. Once you get a line the Airbus is more productive over a given time frame so you can squeeze a lot together and have big chunks off(red-eyes).
