I concur. Bring the clubs. What's the difference between that and going home for a day or 2(which a lot of people did), or bringing your running shoes, or hiking half a day. Off time is your time. There is a lot of studying to do, and the first couple weeks are terribly long days. But once you hit the FTDs and sims, you may have one at 5:30-11:30 am, then a day off, then 530-11:30PM the next day.
