I chose base (well was too young in class to get a certain plane), but base was top priority SPECIFICALLY for commute. I have 3 daily flights on company metal. No other base we have currently has 3x daily from my city. And no, not planning on moving (yet). Commutable trips immediately off reserve, haven't flown past midnight (except for IROP).

Anybody know why JetBlue doesn't serve any of the "normal" Canada places like YYZ, YUL, YVR, YOW?? I was on the site last night checking for any new destinations while I swim in the pool, and noticed none in Canada. Most, if not all, mainlines (and some LCCs) serve them and often with regional feeder service. With the two largest bases for JB being BOS and JFK, at least a few of the NE Canadien cities should be productive and profitable...

^ that....talked to a few passengers doing BUF turns, many Canadian. They mentioned they save into the hundreds by simply making the 1.5/2 hr drive from Toronto across the border to BUF and riding on us. Lots of big taxes to fly to the U.S. from YYZ and we get a lot of business from this.

More to the point, it is cheaper for the airline not to serve airports in Canada. It's more expensive for the customers because the airlines get taxed more to fly there. This is why currently there is no U.S. LCC that flies there (not JetBlue, nor Southwest, nor Spirit, nor Allegiant).
