What kind of experience is getting people called recently? I'm sitting north of 3500/1000TPIC 121.

I don't think it's so much the time. It will help your chances more, if you go to a job fair.

Wait for Hawaiian to strike, go be a scab, you'll be a shoe in a spirit. We hired one, what's one more.

...just go get a dui.

The key is to show you're damaged goods and have no possibility of getting hired anywhere else.

Today this is spirits ideal candidate. Not paying us is more important than finding quality candidates to keep their cash cow mooing

I've recently had several new guys on OE around 3,000-4,000 TT and no PIC. Mixed backgrounds from 121, 135 and even part 91. You can definitely check the boxes but I think a job fair really helps. I know guys they really like at the fair are interviewed on the spot and offered jobs.

Based on what? If they have 95 planes now and want 155 there's no way that can be true unless you have some sort of evidence that they won't get there. Plus there will be attrition from people going to legacy carriers, especially if there is no improvement in pay.
Back up your calculation, or as they said in school show your work.

Without taking attrition into consideration, if you're hired today, based on our current aircraft orders, an upgrade is probably not possible. But, obviously there will be some attrition, a lot will be at the junior levels though I think, guy/gals leaving for greener pastures, so there may or may not be enough attrition to get a person hired today into the left seat by the end of 2021. After 2021, it's anybody's guess. I would plan on at least 5 years to upgrade, maybe longer.

Don't know if it'll be 8 years, but every Captain we need is currently on property. Anybody hired today will upgrade based on attrition at this point unless there is another order.
