Just to put it out there. New hires will go straight to Florida. The company has a real hard one for that place. Hawaii as a pilot base is a bust, so scratch that one off your list.
You should be from Florida or the east coast in general. All west coasters buyer beware. West is dead as a doornail. If you’re a west coaster willing to wait out a west coast base. Good luck. The majority of schedules make commuting impossible. Most everyone that is junior on the west coast are continually on TDY, and/or waiting for the other shoe to drop, i.e. displacements.
Not sure if HR will still pitch the, “your home ever night” stuff. That is not the case for the junior. But, if you live in base it’s all good. The company is pretty solvent so far, but is growing like old people screw.

I can't stand when other pilots get on here and bad mouth another airline because their hourly pay rates are less. Everyone has different values and you should respect their decision.

How important is jet time weighed when they decide to call for an interview, whenever hiring resumes? I'm a Dash 8 captain who lives near a FL base and would love to get a call.

I live right near Sanford. I would LOVE to get a call from Allegiant. I just filled out my application. I wouldn't mind any of the other Florida bases either. If someone can PM a contact to get a cover letter to them, I would greatly appreciate it.

The 7 Iberia A320s that are coming in the next 6 months are all going to FL. Last I heard was they were thinking 4 to SFB and 3 to PIE. But that can and does change daily.
