Wonder if he called the Duty Pilot when he landed?

Both potential actions require a serious investigation by the FAA. You can't just declare an emergency, and say you're running out of gas, in order to avoid diverting.
CA maybe had a nice Fargo honey waiting for him.

Here's a CBS News story on the incident:

Has anybody mentioned that this is the very same guy who ordered the MD-80 minimum landing fuel to be lowered from 6000 lbs to 5000 lbs a couple years ago?
Now he knows why all the pilots were complaining about it.

Lets see: conflict of interest here? VP/Director of Ops = PIC. But wait; Dispatch and Chief Pilot report to VP.

Certainly the FAA will finally step in, right? The issue here is that definite and clear violations occurred. The CFR and GOM do NOT allow delegation of ultimate responsibility(read para b.) GB can't pass this down to anyone per regulatory guidance. This means dispatch is safe; and once again......GB must face either FAA enforcement action, or resign.
So Allegiant is a 121 supplemental? If so, dispatch could never really take the fall for this deal... it's always the DO and PIC

who just so happen to be the same person?

I think my mind just went full potato.

Im sorry....I thought they were on an AAY Charter flight! Was this a normally scheduled flight? Or a typical AAY Charter? If it was a scheduled pax flight, I'll quote you the other reg that has the non-delegated responsibility of the Director of Ops/VP! Either way, GB cant point the finger on this one. The buck stops with him.

A good day for Allegiant pilots. About a platoon and half sized pilot group marched on vegas headquarters. Wonder how many under wear changes took place behind that glass window lol.

Hopefully the faa will start to get serious about where the real problems are in this company. Starting and ending with g4 management.

Potential new hires hope you’re listening. You are about to enter the lions den. This management takes no prisoners. Screw up just that much and termination, violation; viewable pria disciplinary action, training failures or worse. All brought to you by one of the most hypocritical management teams around. Enjoy…

It was a normally scheduled flight. The flight number 426 is used multiple times every week for flights from LAS-FAR.

The last time I read an Allegiant Annual Report I think they said they would be ceasing charter flights. They need every working airplane and available flight crew to fly all of the regular scheduled flights, they are constantly adding new cities to shear sheep in.
