This is the kind of support we get from this management. Bunch of hypocritical dirt bags. All they care about is this seasons up coming bonus's. Which I might add will be very choice given the phenomenal stock performance.

If he applied for a position wouldn't any competent flight department at another airline look into this incident and hire this pilot based on their findings and not on what Allegiant says? Despite being fired from the airline industry's problem child I would hope this doesn't end his career. How does being prudent and putting passenger safety ahead of everything else come off as a negative? Don't all the other airline flight departments know what's going on internally at Allegiant and just shake their head?

Everything is fantastic. You can upgrade lightning quick. Just don't have a bad day. Allegiant management puts out a press release praising this PIE captain that he did nothing wrong. Then waits a couple of months and terminates him. Fired by "Bingo-Baden" and his weasel side kick the director of safety. Hypocrites and lying is just how they roll.

I'll add my .02c:
I recently overheard SL in SFB gossiping about this (you know, taking a break from sneaking around the parking garage and ignoring emails), and there is no "more to the story". This PIE CA had NEVER failed or retrained any training event. His FO never heard a word from the company, not even a debrief. He was returned to the line within a week of the evacuation without even so much as a thanks. If they had taken the wrong course of action then as a crew, the FO would have gotten some grief too. Not a word was ever mentioned to that guy.
I also heard the rumor going around that Allegiant offered the guy his job back and he refused. They haven't, that's simply not the case. The guy is almost emotionally ruined over losing his job and is trying to figure out his next step to getting on with his life.
One more thing. Read the GOM describing what to do if fire or even the possibility of fire is a consideration. It says to do what this guy did. Next thing you know, Bingo is whining about the media attention- only to go out and create a media spectacle of himself.

Ask your COO when he was at North American Airlines if he remembers the company being sued by a 757 Captain for MX issues and wrongful termination. Funny they were in a first contract battle as well. He was awarded over $12MM but settled for a measly $3MM. Was likely before Mr. Harfst time at NAA but you get the picture and the caliber. Please tell me someone is doing something for this pilot! This is so wrong, and directly affects safety because the next crew may hesitate for fear of their careers.

He immediately got here in January and went to work on the union. Sending out bald face lying company emails falsely professing the FH line on negotiating in good faith. He wasted zero time shoveling the crap our ceo demands.
I hope this former pie captain sues the he$$ out of this company.
