Best ever Aviation 'Big picture book' of All time.
"Flying the line, vol.2"
Should be given to EVERY pilot that gets a commercial license. IMHO
One must know where we've been, to apprecaite where were at; and to know where we're going.

Frontier has great employees and I'm not trying to rain on anyone's hopes of coming to work here, but...
This is the airline industry. I rode the Airside bus with UAL 757/767 Capts. who were making less than me through the duration of their concessionary (Chapter 11 and CBA rejection via 1113) contract. They were being worked to the FARs with few protective work rules, lost at least half of their pensions, lost hourly rate and were generally pi$$ed.
When I hear pilots complaining, especially on public message boards, about their lot in life, I have to wonder why they continue to work against their own self interests EVERY TIME management (or the government) gives them the chance.
Make no mistake; as a pilot you are a blue collar hourly employee. You don't like working at Walmart; get a job at Costco - or work to make Walmart better. We get paid what we can negotiate and so does management. It's almost a zero sum game. The more management gets, the less we, or the shareholders, get (guess how that will turn out?)
I have a great time at work - most days, and would rather do this than any other job I've had, but it's a job and has to be evaluated from the perspective of any business or investment decision.
Our new pilots effectively make up a "B" scale since pilots who've been on property have the spoils of the spinoff, and they don't. Will management exploit this? You betcha!
If you're coming to Frontier please take into consideration the history of what those who came before you have given, and need to get back, when you look at where the contract sits now. Frontier Airlines and its turbulent journey (Slideshow) - Denver Business Journal
And if you join our ranks PLEASE don't be taken in by management's inevitable attempts to divide or group and get 50.0001% of the vote on any prospective changes.
Hourly wages are great, but being able to manipulate your schedule more than most and the host of work rules we DO have didn't come cheap.
Rant over--- Best of luck to all of us!

Does anyone know how to delete the resume you upload during the online application process at Frontier? I needed to change something so I uploaded a new resume, but i can't figure out how in the world to delete my old one. And somehow I now have three (?!) resumes attached to my profile...
Any help?

My understanding is that you can't delete the old uploaded resumes. If I were you I would include the date in the file name (02SEP2014 J.Doe Resume), so you can ensure HR is selecting the correct resume to review. And someone else might have tried this and can comment, but it might be possible to upload your current resume multiple times and kick out the old resumes (if it only keeps the 3 or 5 most recent uploads).

Thanks. I'll give it a try. Adding a date to the file name is genius. I feel rather silly for not thinking of that.
I hope I didn't shoot myself in the foot. I keep one generic resume that I then taylor to each specific company as needed. I realized too late that the first resume I uploaded included level d sim time in my part 121 time. Not sure if it matters to them but I normally don't include sim time when applying to airlines (part 135 and part 91 jobs sometimes want the sim time included b/c it can be and it helps lower insurance). So the correct resume actually has a little LESS flight time than the first one I uploaded. Hopefully I can just upload several and bump it out like you said.

hmmm.... I logged in to edit my profile and now I can't find a link to upload my resume any more. I went through every single page twice. Am I missing something? It still has three attachments but I cant figure out how to add another one. This is getting very frustrating.

So I now have 3 attachments. Thankfully one is the correct one, but I see your problem. I can't seem to find the upload screen anymore either :/ I do remember them saying you can upload 3 attachments, but I hope whats not happening is that since the system sees 3 attachments it just completely ignores the upload screen from now on. You wouldn't think that as how can you keep uploading a current resume? Yikes. I don't know whats going on now.

Absolutely! Without Aims Community College who would we have to self-disclose to the FAA and do aircraft deliveries with 250 hours and a type.
