Can any of the guys that went through the interview in April share some gouge on the sort of technical questions asked during the HR portion these days/situational based trainer scenarios/etc? Been studying up as a May interviewee but curious how different it is from what I've read on here from guys that interviewed a year or so ago.

I have a pretty decent handle what the interview questions look like, and they change all the time. There's a few reasons for this, but one of the largest is that we just get bored hearing the same answers all day long. Be prepared to answer questions pertinent to 121 operations- most applicants already have some 121 experience, so the technical questions shouldn't be surprising. There are no curve balls. If you know how to do your current job, you have the technical knowledge to do ok in that portion. Of course, when I interviewed I re-read everything I had just to make sure I was sharp.

The scenarios and HR questions follow a similar format. They change all the time. Basic CRM skills and soliciting input and help from all available resources will get you through any scenario. HR questions tend to center on why you'd rather work for F9 than DAL/UAL/AA. My advice is to carefully consider if you really would prefer to work at F9, and then to practice explaining your reasons. If you could tell an interviewer why you want to want to be an F9'er without using the words "culture" or "Airbus" you'd stand out, in a positive way.

Good luck with your interview- hopefully you'll be online here soon!

Broflyer - am I hearing this correctly? You came here in 2014 and are already participating in the actual 'panel' portions of the interview process? I mean not just walking people back and forth from room to room, or helping to run the SBI? That's phenomenal! And you participate in this forum to boot?!?! What a resource! I'll go ahead and speak for the friends I have trying to get on here - thank you!

I got this same message. I called the phone number for HR and found out that the person was no longer working for F9. I now have a new point of contact. I would keep trying to get a hold of someone in HR. Hope this helps.

Thank you to everyone who helped me along the way to get hired with Frontier.

I've posted before but I'll do it again to give others hope. If I can do it then anyone (with the right attitude and preparation) can do it.

4500 total
3200 jet
1900 jet pic
Pt 91
Lear Jet
No degree
I had 4 check ride failures during my primary training (embarrased to say)
No training failures during my professional career.

I was asked twice about check ride failures and I was brutally honest both times, no excuses.
I was asked if I thought there was a common theme to each event and what I learned from them.

I would highly recommend Lori Clark with Clark Consulting for interview prep. She knows Frontier but most importantly she will help you present YOU in the best way possible. If your a jerk then the best interview prep in the world won't help you.

I hope this helps
