Alaska Air Hiring
#961
Everyone I've met and everything I've seen make me certain Alaska is the airline I want to join. I hope I can make a positive impression when I see them again in OSH.

Got a call yesterday from Alaska Recruiting dept. They called my VOIP number (what I listed on my resume since I'm spending my time deployed right now). Didn't even get the message until today...stupid MagicJack! I called back and left a message. Guess it's gonna be a phone tag game. Oh well...stoked to have my name pulled from the hat! Mil dude, 3,700 hrs, 2,000+ PIC, heavy and trainer background, all the other normal stuff too.

Congrats! Hopefully you have contacts on the flight ops side who can advocate on your behalf while you are deployed. Since only 230-ish is the forecasted number of 2015 hires, you don't want to fall into anonymity unnecessarily.

I did the polo and slacks thing, as did most. A few showed up in shorts and t shirts, but I don't know how they fared. Saw one guy in a suit and he looked like the picture of sweaty misery.

Words directly from the chief pilot is to dress like it is an airshow, I.e., shorts and a polo would be perfect. That is how they will be dressed.
Good luck!
