Signing bonus is yours to keep. Training bond is what you owe back if you leave. The guy I mentioned had to sign one. If he got hired one month sooner it paid for itself, or better, by the end of his career.

WAI & OBAP job fairs, or just membership? Either way, congratulations to you!

Oh, and what does SSP stand for?

I am members of both and have attended job fairs hosted by both. SSP stands for streamlined selection process. It is an agreement negotiated between Delta and Endeavor that gave everyone on our seniority list at the time of our bankruptcy a guaranteed interview with Delta since they own us. Thanks for the congrats!!!

For the love of God man...can I please buy you a beer? I'll be in Atlanta for the next 16 years, or you could just non-rev to Lake Norman! Cheers h

I used to lay over in Charlotte, I was carefully watching Duke Power as they were about to sell property around the lake. I got distracted..... The lots went on the market in the low 30's...... Don't worry I'll catch up with you sometime... What happened to the APW blog? Always on the numbers.

So if a regular guy interviews with DAL (non SSP), how long can one expect from the CJO to the actual class date? Is there a difference in time between SSP and non SSP?

I know this constantly changes but (to the guys currently in class right now), what percentage in a given class are flow-throughs vs. regular pilots?

I don't know for sure, but I do know the wait time would be considerably shorter than for us. At the time of our ch.11, this agreement was negotiated to initially give all captains a guaranteed interview with DL. It was recently extended to FOs. The trade off is those of us with CJOs have to be metered to DL at about 12-15 per month and there is a big back log. The current obligation is 144 pilots to DL this year and 180 next year. Im expecting early to mid next year in the batch of 180.

I would say beginning next year, there will start to be a decline in the trend of Endeavor pilots hired at DL in the same numbers as we see currently as the SSP is not available to new hires. Also, once everyone who was entitled to the interview has had an opportunity to interview, the agreement will end and we're almost there.

The Compass flow is also over, though I think the last bunch may still be flowing during the months this year. So that should make more room for off the street hires. There is still lots of hiring projected at DL for the next several years!!!

Yep, used to be bass boats and rednecks. Today $2mil house is fairly common. APW got shut down by Google. We had an over zealous flight attendant hit the like button on ads too often. She found out any/all revenue would be given to "Friends of Mel". Shame really. Google was fascist about it and we were just about to send our first check for two hundred bucks. Now back scheduled programing. Cheers h...
