Can't wait to start, stopped working (mil ret) just before Memorial Day and ready to get back to work. Can't afford any more home projects or fishing trips without some income. Time off is expensive!!

Denny
While you would never know it from this forum what Denny says is 100 percent correct. Delta is a great place to work and you will really enjoy your fellow pilots.

Just talked with Andy F. this morning (offered Sep 8 Indoc--mil defer from June). He pointed out they're notifying SSP hires of Indoc dates before OTS so they can bid appropriately for the next month. They may end up notifying SPP folks for a couple classes then go back and fill the OTS spots. Translation: OTS hires are not getting skipped, just notified later. So if you were sure you'd be in a certain class then hear SSP guys already getting the call for later classes, OTS hires may still get the call (afterward) for the earlier class dates.

As the plug in my base/category for the next few days before the next new hires finish IOE, welcome! I've been impressed by the caliber of people - from the indoc folk to the sim instructors to the CKA, to the Capts I've flown with... Most of whom won't let my wallet open! Simply a world-class experience.

To channel Delmar, "C'mon in, boys, the water is fine!"

I flew a New York to New Orleans and back trip the other day and I'm 99.9% sure Delmar was on the leg from Orleans to NYC. Came in First Class as I was coming in from the quick turn walk around. Didn't say anything to him but that scene was going through my head after I saw him.

Waitaminit, you're a new hire. Aren't you satisfied that the 717 will be dal's first paperless fleet?
