My understanding is that they flip it from highest to lowest for seniority every so often. Not sure how often.
In the end, it's not gonna matter much.

This same section dictated the age factor (oldest pilot gets the lowest (most senior) seniority number within a class) for all pilots hired by Delta prior to the implementation of C2k.
If there is any evidence that they are "flipping it" every so often, this needs to be brought to the attention of the MEC Contract Administration Committee pronto.

Once in class, last 4 ssn gets you your number on the master list, and higher last 4 the better as far as that goes.

I think classes are roughly assigned by when you interviewed, of course notwithstanding flows, bypasses and whatever else.

I understand the ranking within the class, I was just confused about ranking people between classes in determining who gets the next class date. I think this explains it.
