Does anyone happen to know anyone I could contact there at the 156th? I am about to e-mail their Chief Pilot to see if that unit would be a possibility. I’m pretty familiar with the setup at the VR squadrons, but I don’t know enough about the ANG to know if that would be a good fit for me or if it would even be an option as a Navy guy with no connections there. It’s a great idea though, I would love to be in a local unit that I could stay more actively involved with for the rest of my time in the military. It might be a pipe dream, but you don’t know if you don’t ask though, so I am looking into it!

I can work on that for ya. As Sailing said CLT is a piece of cake. Between us and usair, there's a flight almost every hour to ATL, NYC and DTW. I had to drive it once in a pinch (to Atlanta) and it took 3 hours door to door. Also, as a P-3 guy may I suggest you look at Lake Norman? Never know who you may run into. Cheers H...
