Damn, sorry to hear that. Would bidding the bus help get you back to IAH? I'm not read on the specifics of whatever equipment locks y'all have in place but would it be fair to say one has a better chance at eventually getting the base one wants by bidding into the most junior equipment that base flies, even if it's on another base? Trying to figure out how folks make their newhire bids work for them.

I'm not. I chose to go to EWR on the 76T (currently on 737) to get off reserve. It turns out commuting to EWR/NYC is as easy or easier than IAH from DFW.

Since the merger Guam has been harder to get to. Lot of L-UAL guys have been bidding it, new base and all. Seems the FO side is slowing a bit, but don't think it has reached new hire capability yet. CA side is still going very senior. At some point, once all who have the desire to bid it have had the chance, Guam is historically an easy base to get to. However difficult base to become senior in, if that makes sense. Lots of turnaround on the bottom end. If interested bid 737 as soon as possible to avoid training freezes, as that is the only plane based out here. Hope this helps, good luck.
