probably a dumb question but I am kinda new to online airline applications.

On the Jetblue online application it asks for "other documents" to be attached at the bottom. Is this for the license copy/medical/certificates etc or is this done at a later date?

The application is not user friendly. I'd apologize for it, but it's been brought to the attention of the hiring folks and they're "working on it." Still. Almost a year later.

Anyhow, before you hit send, one of the other things you want to do is get .pdfs of your recommendation letters and attach them there, as there is no longer any way to do that later. Unless it's been fixed.

Any 3/11 interviews get the Phase II email yet? Nothing here for myself and a buddy as well. I was optimistic about this week but I guess they are busy at LSC interviewing. Hopefully tomorrow but I bet it'll be next week.

Thanks RJ - We saw that for the 2/25 folks but earlier this year some were hearing back within 6-9 days. So we foolishly let that get our hopes up for this week.

Hopefull y'all are 2-4 weeks from a call for a class date. Sending vibes for a sooner-rather-than-later class call at you

Cheers!

If the length of the process was shorter I'd say JB would be locked up for me. But there's one other intriguing offer still on the table in my situation. If that one starts to press me in the next week and I don't have a class date yet (Feb 25) it's going to be a tough call. I turned down one offer already for JB thinking I'd have a confirmed April class date. In my case my then current employer "suggested" that if I was motivated to fly rather than teach (142) maybe I should resign now (after 6 yrs). As a result I'm running on savings. Can ride it out a little longer as Mr Mom (220...221 whatever it takes) until the wife starts getting nervous about the dwindling reserves.

If things continue as they have been recently, I bet you 2/25 guys get calls for the April and May classes.

It's a good "problem" to have - options. A buddy of mine in my squadron is very qualified, no black marks on his history, has applied to every major or legacy that is accepting apps, and he hasn't gotten a single bite. It makes no sense seeing other folks around here getting multiple interview and job offers - All he can do is continue to be persistent, network, and update ... and stay confident a call will come.

Best of luck where ever you end up.

Unless there's a training contract in that other offer, the decision to take it is a no-brainer. If you are midway through training, in IOE, or on the line a month and you get a class date from JB, don't feel any pressure not to take it. Same thing while you're at JB and you get a legacy call. It's business, and whilst in the past those business decisions often fell against pilots (furloughs and concessions), now the pendulum is returning. The accelerated departure of new hire pilots for other opportunities will be a major driver in better contracts for all of us, from single seat cargo hauler to wide-body Captain.

At first I didn't have a lot of options because of limited recency of experience. I took a teaching gig a few years ago because of family issues and needed to be home every night for a while. I'll admit I got lazy. One year led to two which led to three, etc. I'm qualified for the majors on paper but the kiss of death was recency. Even with all my airline and corporate contacts (including personal friends with an aviation director of a Fortune 10 company) it all came down to the same problem - made the short list but the guy sitting next to me was current, qualified, and typed. I felt JB really did "hire the person" not the pedigree. Current offer is based on my academic background and other safety work so it's not a flying job. Very interesting but not flying.

Internals? Those are essential. Your buddy has contacts waiting to be asked if he looks hard enough. Most internal recs take 10-30 minutes max to write, especially if you give the writer a document from which to start.
