First year and training pay for new hires needs a big fix in the next contract. I've actually run into a few guys that believe if you aren't on you're 5th or 6th airline like them then you haven't paid enough dues and first year here is just part of that. There won't always be a three year upgrade and if this airline is serious about attracting talent about 3-5 years from now they are going to have to pay for it.

Absolutely right. First year pay will increase out of necessity, rather than from the spending of negotiating capital.
