Has anyone received the e-mail to go to pilotcredentials, after filling out the SW Careers portion?

This is what I got from SWA. I think they just expect you to go to pilotcredentials.com and fill it out without more prompting.

Southwest Airlines will again be opening our Pilot Hiring window April 2nd and remain open for approximately one week. To express interest in Southwest Pilot positions, please go to Southwest Airlines Careers. Once there, click “View All Job Postings” and express interest in the open pilot requisition by uploading your resume and answering the prescreening questions. Please note, an applicant only needs to apply one time on the Southwest Airlines Careers website.

You may have recently received an email notifying you that you were not selected for interview during the September through March hiring cycle. This was part of the process to close out that cycle so we could move forward and repost the position.

Having a profile on Pilot Credentials will NOT by itself make you a Pilot candidate for consideration; you must also take the steps above to express interest through Southwest Airlines Careers. If you previously applied through southwest.com during our last hiring event, it is still necessary to complete this step to be considered.

After completing the steps above on Southwest Airlines Careers, please create, review or update your existing profile at https://swa.pilotcredentials.com/ . Some areas on the profile website, including the Pilot Questionnaire have changed and it is important to keep your profile information current, complete and accurate. Changes in qualifications and flight time are continuously reviewed.

Interviews will be granted based upon a qualifications review and overall competitiveness. Training class dates are scheduled to begin in June 2014.

Sincerely,
Southwest Airlines

Just received a second TBNT e-mail from the People Dept. I re-applied, got the confirmation e-mail, the above posted e-mail stating that the window re-opened and I should go to pilotcredentials, and then quickly got the TBNT e-mail thanking me for my time. I can't think of a single reason why I would have gotten it so quickly...I have the mins, the type, and am available in July. The subject line says "Thank you for your interest in Southwest Airlines - 2014-6007 - Pilot - First Officer" which makes me think it is definitely for this latest window.
Maybe I checked a box wrong by accident in the application? Does anyone have an email for the People Department where I can ask?

Ok, I'm baffled. I have a complete profile on global pilot credentials, do I need a different profile on swa.pilot.credentials? Is there a way to make the info flow over?

Yes, you can flow info either way for a price. However, I can honestly say I wasn't too impressed with what I got when I did it with both the SWA and AA versions using the global acct. Each version has different requirements and different fields so you still have to go in and finesse and hand jam over half the application each time to ensure the info was imported correctly. It was a pain and I am not sure I would pay again for the service.

Nevermind. Figured it out. Checked a wrong box. Withdrew and resubmitted.

The way I'm reading the job posting, the type rating is required this time around....thoughts?

Since they are hiring for a June class, not like they'd call anyone without the type either way.

It is very confusing. It does say that it is required, but then goes on to ask you if you can get it prior to starting training. This question came up in the last window too. Someone got it cleared up to the tune of the official company line, which is "A 737 type rating is required prior to starting training, it is not required for an interview."
The reality of it is just as you said, if you don't already have the type, there is little chance you are going to get it in time for a June or July class. From what I have heard, the classic course at HPA is backed up right now for months. That info is a couple of months old. I don't know about the NG course and I know there are other places that it can be obtained, but it would be difficult given that time frame.

Default 737 type?

SWA is still requiring you to pay for your own type rating? wow.
