Latest with DAL 737/757/RNAV into JNU

Although I guess like AirTran, SWA would force all of the Alaska pilots to the right seat and you'd have the Guad-a-loop issue. And there is the danger that SWA+FL+AL or 6+2+2 would equal something less than 10.
SWA would love the 739s I bet.
JB would be interesting but as about as incompatible fleet wise as you can get although we've proven that's not necessarily a killer.

Particularly the AirTran guys who lost the left seat. They might possibly get it back on an Eskimo jet.

This is my last post on this thread as I'm sure it will only spark more butt-hurt comments.
I was born and raised in the great state of Alaska and my father is/was a bush pilot up there for more than 40 years. The one thing he taught me about flying was respect. Respect for the terrain, respect for my aircraft and respect for the weather. Fast forward to my Navy career and one of my Commanding Officers taught me something else, actually, it was the same thing..RESPECT. He always said "respect the boat...or it will kill you" and he was right. With that being said, from what I've read from the webboard genius on here is complete lack of respect for the Juneau International Airport. Afterall, we de-ice in Milwaukee, fly into mountains in South America and short runways at Key West ...yada yada yada. The problem I have is you're not only disrespecting the airport, the terrain and the weather by bragging how ridiculously awesome you are, but you are also disrespecting hundreds of other pilots who have given their lives up there, work hard at being safe in a challenging environment or just plain live there.
One thing I could never imagine myself saying if Alaska Airlines ever started service to chimichanga central America is "this is a piece of cake, afterall I fly into Kodiak and Sitka on a daily basis". It's not in my DNA but it's obviously in the Delta blood line, at least on this webboard.
As far as competition...as an employee at Alaska Airlines, I am not threatened in any way by DAL flying into JNU. (it's Juneau btw, not Juno...another show of disrespect). In fact I welcome it. It's not going to hurt me or my airline. Neither is the onslaught on Seattle. We are ten times more nimble and flexible, can adapt and overcome, just like we have before. So you can all spare yourselves the chest beating "we're not breathing, we're coming" bs because it's not scaring anyone at Alaska Airlines.
Whoever was making assumptions about Alaska's RNP program with regards to the threshold being moved, you might want to check your source before jumping to conclusions.
One final note and I'm finished. I just flew 3 jumpseaters in a fairly open cabin so all had seats in the back. SWA guy came up introduced himself and said thanks, UPS guy came up and did the same, didn't get as much as a hello from the DAL guy. I'm sure he was just busy posting some crap on the web on his Iphone and got too busy to show a little grattitude.
A little humility and respect gentlemen.... Good luck with your invasion, I look forward to the fight.

Not to mention the amusement of watching a pilot group that doesn't need SWA (Not that AT did) stand up to them....

Hey man, take most of the stuff said here with a grain of salt. The Buzz and Forgot to Bid guys are the absolute minority and are an embarrassment to our pilot group. Most of our guys are not nearly as arrogant as these guys appear to be. We are doing the same job and I would gladly buy you guys a beer anytime. Most of our pilot group feels the same. These guys are Delta's 5%.....

So in SE Alaska, do the controllers speak English as their first language?
That certainly would make it easier than most of our normal mountain ops.
