I AM a stick in the mud, cranky, cynical and almost old enough to be a grumpy old man. I put in earplugs because I hate those PA's. I have commuted for 15+ years and flown way over a million miles as a passenger all over the world. I HATE riding on any airline anywhere but my deepest hatred is the rare but necessary ride on Southwest. I've *****ed about those dumb ass little cute PA's the FA's make, they are SO STUPID. I am a "do your job, say what you have to say then shut the hell up" kind of passenger.
But I actually got a laugh out of that. But I don't EVER want to hear it again and please don't try to be cute with your PA's!

It may be a bit corny and highly annoying for a commuter but it puts a smile on the customers' faces after they've traced their last nerve from the ticket counter, worthless tsa, crowded gates, and getting stuck in a middle seat. They forget about all of that and many will return to southwest because they remember it being a pleasant experience even if it wasn't

See if you are still saying that after commuting for a few years. Your tolerance for crap like this quickly plunges to zero. It's funny if you fly two or three times a year, but business pax (and SWA does have them) probably could do without.
I LOATHE DHing or commuting on my own airline. No assigned seats, audience interaction PAs, the new "Evolve" seats that barely recline and have terrible seat pitch, and other stupid $chit.......

Guess the commuters have all forgotten the airline doesn't cater to you. Get your seat, put your earplugs in, and shut up.
