The problem is: for every funny and entertaining PA (the SWA guy in the video), are ten annoying PA's from flight attendants thinking they are the worlds greatest comedian. The less talking the better. Get the pax from A to B on time with their bag at a reasonable price (which SWA does pretty well), is all passengers want. THAT is what keeps them coming back.

I used to commute when I flew 121, and silly PA's would always get a chuckle.
Check your crankiness at the gate... if you hate commuting, move to your base or look for another gig so you no longer have to commute. Life is way too short to spend it in misery.
Good on this crew and SWA for encouraging this.

It was well done. Lets be honest, if she had done just done it per the script in a monotone way, no one would have have listened. This way she had everyones attention and people actually listened to what she had to say. They enjoyed it obviously. I can't even think of the last time I heard a a group clap on an airplane. Clearly I think SWA does some things right and giving their FAs the ability to do these kinds of things make customers happy and engaged.

I exclusively watch comedy channel, so like the guests on cnn I am an expert. In my professional opinion this pa was not funny at all. My reasons for this conclusion are as follows. 1. There were no south park chocolate ball jokes. 2. No workaholic stoned office pranks. 3. No web redemption. And don't get me started on the fact that not ONCE in that video did I see danny devito talking about how he bangs a lot of w.h.o.r.e.s.
