Teheran isn't exactly a warzone right now. Iran is probably the only stable country in the middle east. Only people shooting down jets in/near Iran is the United States Navy.

That was in 1988. I hardly think it's worth mentioning. And I wouldn't call Iran "Stable."

My point exactly. Iran hasn't ever shot down an airliner, and the last airliner to go down in/near Iran was shot down by a US destroyer in Iranian waters. Iranian airspace = pretty darn safe (unless you're in an Israeli aircraft).

As far as stable goes, relative to the rest of the middle east, I'd say they're pretty stable. The majority of countries (governments) in the middle east are relying on either US tax dollars, oil money, or tourism as their primary source of GDP. Iran has significant agricultural and manufacturing industries that put the rest of the middle east to shame. When all the oil dries up, Iran will be all that's left unless some idiot in Washington decides we need to waste another trillion on another useless war.

I've never had an issue when visiting Iran with an American passport, the people there are extremely kind and hospitality there is taken very seriously.

How was it routed?

Go north of Iraq and you're going through Afghanistan and Iran.

Go south of Iraq and you're through Jordan, Syria, and/or Israel.

Further south and you're through Egypt, Sudan, and/or Lybia.

Weird thing is they invaded because of these rockets that are deadly for Israelis. Yet, when the FAA forbids US airlines from coming into TLV, they say "naw, come on in, those rockets can't hurt you. We shoot them down with our Iron Dome, you aren't in any danger." So it's dangerous when used to justify killing 70% civilians but totally not dangerous when it comes to foreign airliners coming into TLV. The rest of the world has already used the term genocide. Sounds fitting.

In any case, I don't understand why any passenger would want to fly to TLV today. It isn't worth it, the US government has warned against travel there. Oh and Bloomberg's little stunt would actually be credible if it wasn't for the fact he outlaws 32oz fountain drinks. But apparently flying into a war zone is okay. And those citizens can carry guns but not here in NY.
You must think that Palestine has a language that is called Palestinian.
Read "The 6 Day War" to get enlighten on the situation!

Emirates Flight Diverted to Iran When American Has Heart Attack

I wonder what would have happened if it were an Iranian citizen having a heart attack, and making the airplane divert to Tel Aviv.

It's exactly what is desired by Iran and Hamas. Check out youtube for videos on Hamas soldiers dragging children into buildings that are about to be hit by Israel. How does Hamas know Israel is about to hit the building? Because Israel sends prior notice. When that notice is received, the women and children evacuate...but Hamas soldiers drag them back in to their deaths. The use of human shields is a war crime, yet you excuse Iran/Hamas by omission. Why?

That's what happens when human shields are used by one side. Why do you excuse this war crime ShyGuy?

It's dangerous because iron dome cannot intercept all inbound rockets. Many get through. Your batting zero on logic and 1000 on Israel hate.

Nobody but the most virulent Israel haters are using the term genocide. But many are correctly using the term "war crime" to describe the use of human shields.
