I've never had an issue when visiting Iran with an American passport, the people there are extremely kind and hospitality there is taken very seriously.

Oh and Bloomberg's little stunt would actually be credible if it wasn't for the fact he outlaws 32oz fountain drinks. But apparently flying into a war zone is okay.
