Alaska 2nd Quarter

I haven't posted much on this forum. Mostly I'm trying to get the lay of the land before making the jump from the military. I'm also totally unfamiliar with the whole union dimension. So please forgive my ignorance.
I sense a lot of AS hating out there and I've yet to determine why this is. I realize they're not a big fish like DL or others, but have they ****ed off the other carriers?

Latest news is AS management is now single handedly responsible for destroying the Pilot profession as we know it because we put 10 passengers a day nonstop to Dubai with a codeshare with Emirates. Give me a break.
And if by Alaska pilots flourishing while Delta pilots suffer means furloughs, stagnation and zero movement then yes, we are FLOURISHING over here at Alaska Airlines. The only significant growth we've had in the past 10 years has come in the last 3 months which is a result of our response to our fight with big D.
So the question on the street is who is going to stop Delta? answer: themselves.

DL's codeshare begins to break down with AS, DL begins to focus on SEA organic expansion, and introduces service into JNU.
AS guys got very sensitive about it, and the ribbing began (including the misspelling of "Juno"). It's nothing personal, but a few over sensitive types have made it out to be more than it is.
We're all airline pilots, and we want our companies to do well. Like sports teams fans, a few go a bit over the top. Most of us just enjoy the game.

Come on clamp....a few AS guys got sensitive, as did several DAL types. Most of us on both sides just shake our heads.
None of us on this site have any say, but a select few on both sides just can't keep their panties unbunched.

AS types definitely got upset about JNU early on, then the back and forth and then oversensitive guys from each side ruined the fun. Should have been more specific.

You can't post things like Adios Alaska one minute and then turn around the next and wish us great prosperity, it doesn't pass the litmus test. But hey, if it makes you all feel better to post maintenance logs from our fatal crashes or wish us good riddance feel free, I believe it's enhancing your reputation nicely.

Think of it like the ready room, when Ice and Mav were going at it.
Or was that the volley ball scene...?
