Overall the process has been ripe with delays. In May we received a letter from mgt. saying we would be receiving timely updates. Did not see anything until just yesterday saying we would have an update next week.
Not holding my breath. Selecting an older product has probably caused some headaches and will no doubt cause more.

It was out of date and old technology within a couple months of when they signed the deal to use Surface 2's. By time we get around to getting the "bugs" worked out of it, other airlines will have holograms that display charts.

Saw a new distribution list while on my 9 month visit to Mecca. Instructors getting them in early SEP along with other testers. Fleet distribution starts in Oct. My fleet was slated for mid NOV. This is probably distribution plan number 17b so will probably change again.

Truly how much more flexibility does the Surface give vs an Apple product, all we need is the ability to display the plates and have the manuals on line. We should care not a bit to be able to use it as our personal device. It always seems like we are trying for the latest and greatest in house product and instead we end up with a product that no one uses or wants. (Tahoe, FPS2)
