Oh that's right. I heard about that. It'll be interesting indeed.

I could see a combination system like more than 24 hours out its by seniority but inside that its FCFS. Seniority should count for a lot, but not waltzing up the gate 30 minutes prior, completely unlisted, and bumping someone that's been listed for a week and at the airport checked in for hours. A pure FCFS system though will not go ver well I'd guess.

Don't know where you're trying to go, but some commuters who live on the east side of PIT drive to ride Spirit out of LBE. Always surprised me that we had jumpseaters out of there until I began to hear the horror stories of a PIT commute.

I've tried that a few times and got left behind a good bit as a DL connection pilot, but that was a few years ago.

The PIT-DTW commute can be tough. Quite a few Northwest/Delta mainline and Connection guys that travel this route and 50 seaters can get weight restricted.
