1st Quarter 2016 is a pretty realistic guess. Rumor of 3Q 2015 is floating out there though.

190 at Jb is the same, doesn't go further west than Texas .. Hasn't for years . On the 190 you ll do multiple leg days all over the east cost and a bit of island flying. Fll-STI and SJU flying etc.
The 320 does a majority of our flying here , that being said I try to do mostly up and down the east coast cause that were my seniority can get the most credit out of a trip. The 320 does all the west coast stuff , which tends to go junior cause it's less efficient hence earning less money for the amount of days your working. It seems that once your a line holder on the 190 you ll find your self with a commuter friendly schedule much quicker than you will with the airbus . The bus has good trips but unless your senior you won't find good credit trips worth much more than 23 hour 4 day that is commuter friendly. (Garbage)

Honestly the 190 does do what most would call regional type flying , I did nearly the same exact stuff when i was flying delta connection.

This is a JetBlue thread. Please refrain from asking non-Delta Air Lines questions.

Classic!

With all the movement to the bus from the E190 I heard most of the new hires will be going to the E190 for a while.
As a new hire you won't see SJU very much, be prepared to spend many a night in BUF or BTV.

Forever. US East and West don't even fly together.

Pretty significant financial difference after first year- is that going to wash out with airbus reserve vs line holder 190? Also seems people are fleeing the 190, increasing seniority on that end. Valid observation? As a 44 yr old, guessing I'll be over the class average for the upcoming class. I need to commute from DFW for at least the first year with plans of moving to base. Trying to decide which to pick if given the option.

I'd pick the bus. All the growth is there and lines are more productive (typically), though you do fly red eyes. I have been on the 190 a year and only have seen movement through additions beneath me which have slowed dramatically. The last bid should have 30 or so 190 Boston guys moving to Captain or the 320, so that trend seems to slowly be changing toward people leaving off the top as well as adding to the bottom.

However, at least out of Boston, all the DFW layovers are flown by the 190. Not sure about JFK to DFW flights though.

It's not that different actually second year in 2015 on the airbus is 84.54 and the 190 is 76.09. I've seen some really high credit lines on the 190 with the ability to sell back PTO at premium you could probably do just as good as a 320 guy or close to it. Just my two cents.

First year guys won't be selling back... Gotta have more than 100pto hrs saved up first. Second year guy can sell back if you're a good boy, don't get sick and don't vacation.

Once you can do the sell back though, it's great if you can hold on to it.

That's what I meant. Second year. Not first.
