Default JB E190 v A320

There are threads comparing seniority and reserve life on the 2 aircraft.

I'm curious about comparing the flying they do. Can someone (it would be perfect if you've flown both) talk about the difference in the routes. For example, my friend who flys Embraers for AA says he pretty much never flys west of the Mississippi.

Thanks.

Eagle/Envoy has Embraers. AA does not.

He could be referring to the US Airways 190s. US Airways is part of the American Airlines Group.

The Airbus is the larger fleet, and the pairings have fewer legs. It flies pretty much over the entire route map. There are far more "bus only" cities than "E190 only" cities.

The E190 is only East Coast and Caribbean. It is only based in BOS, JFK and MCO. The pairings often have 4 leg days. There aren't many red-eyes, though a few do exist. Since it isn't a growing fleet, the movement has slowed down.

Thanks for the reply Southerner. I could deal with east coast/Caribbean only.

How far away is US and AA from bidding each others lines?
