Where is Juneau? Is it near Juno?

No, but a few people from Juneau may use Juno for their email service and there's no doubt a few girls in Juneau were inspired by Juno MacGuff.

Here's a different take--one of my crews was scheduled to be stuck out for the holiday. I justified flying them home (actually to their family dinner which wasn't in their home city) via airlines by saving the hotel and meal expenses. The passengers were fine with it. Then, the plane went down on mx problem, chartered out the the trip and they had to drive to T'giving.

I'm told, although I've never confirmed, that Horizon used to fly around the system picking up their crews in the Metro to bring them home for the holidays. That'd be nice.

If that's true it is completely refreshing. I'm stuck in armpit Louisiana, although with a few crews. Later we'll all get to together to celebrate drunksgiving.

Later, the Horizon T'giving shuttle ended when the MEC asked for deadhead pay, out and back, and settled for a 3% paycut and frozen turkey. That's tongue in check.

I'd like a divorce for Christmas, but can't afford that much this year.

And, yes, real, no joke, timed out and no where else to go.

Do we naturally always screw ourselves somehow? I would kill for the company to shuttle all 3 crews home, hell the airplane is sitting on the ramp.

I had a bad Thanksgiving layover in Great Falls, MT in '07. Typical small town that rolls up the sidewalks on the holiday (as they should). The grocery store across the street was closed as was the infamous Sip 'n Dip Lounge. Things were looking pretty bleak. I bought a package of Peanut M&M's out of the vending machine for dinner. Then I found "Superbad" on Pay-Per-View. Best $7.99 I ever spent. Happy Thanksgiving... where ever you end up tonight.

Montgomery,Alabamma, 1987, Ramada Inn. Weather delays. Got to the hotel after the restaurant should have closed an hour before. They kept the restaurant open just for my crew and then refused to accept any money. We tipped as generously as we could but I'll never forget what those wonderful people did to make our Thanksgiving turn out OK.
