Good job United!
Flew on United internationally for the first time ever and was very pleasantly surprised. Professional crew, comfortable economy plus seat, decent meal/snack and IFE system. Thanks for the positive experience!

Was that the same airline that I flew on last year, HKG-ORD that sucked the Big One? Four abreast on the middle of T7 biz class, 44 years of seniority F/A that didn't serve squat, and miserably kate connection in ORD.

What kind of AC? Flew a United 747 from SFO to PEK just over a year ago and it was awful. The single big screen entertainment system stopped working 45 minutes into the flight and the only thing they could show was that cartoon about the snail that wanted to be a racer. It was shown on a continuous loop the rest of the flight. None of the audio programming worked. The row in front of me had the flight attendant call which kept going off every 30 seconds for the entire flight despite nobody sitting in the row. In my row the reading light buttons turned on the reading lights five rows in front of me. The cabin crew could never find out which button to press to get mine to work. In their magazine they were bragging that all the 747s would be upgraded by the end of 2013. This was in December 2013 and it must have been the very last one they upgraded.

First time flyer,
No, corporate. No cognac or breadsticks, either. My F/O had the nerve to ask the biz class F/A how many years she had been with UAW. "44 years and I'm still in business class", she snarled. I snarled at him, "now you've done it, we won't see her again". We didn't.
