Truncated for brevity.

FTB, thanks for posting this. It made my list of helpful gouge document I've been working on for the last 6 months or so. As a reserve I was assigned a trip that carried over from Jan into Feb. Other than it leaving from EWR I was pretty happy about it since it had nice layovers and got me out of the crash pad. My captain was fairly unhappy since he fell under priority 9. It gave him a really long month in Feb so I can understand his displeasure at 4 bonus days on the road at single pay.

Eww, there's a juicy story to go with this. Can you at least give us the cliff notes?

Yes, to an extent. You can't drop trips below the minimum of 50 hours a month.... so you'd have to basically do it one trip at a time.

That said, they're not allowing trip drops. Every trade I've tried to make lately has been denied due to lack of coverage.

Never picked up an "L" pairing ANDROID. How about you? Are you circumventing the seniority system?

Just doing some research in to the industry norm. Appreciate the informative responses. SWA, DAL, UAL.

Please tell us about this 'seniority system' in the contract. How are they violating the contract?

Corperalcleg, please review Section 24 of your contract.
My thread is a poll of other airline practices, not an analysis of the what I can only assume you are doing.

Never said I was partaking of such practice. But I do know what's going on over there. Since I don't have access to the contract, how about you quote the parts that are being violated over here.

As I already said, just polling other airline practices.
Anyone from UNITED, JETBLUE, AMERICAN that can briefly summarize your system?
