To the guys trying to log in without success, the problem stems from the admin guy taking a recall to UA without really passing the keys to membership, as it were. We are trying to get that rectified. Ideally we would get to the same level of participation in the ALPA board, where the lack of anonymity deletes the more crass impulses...

Just because you don't like it doesn't mean it's worthless. There's some BS on there sure, but I betcha the BOS LEC rep, BPF founder, NC member, and multiple committee members (among others) that participate over there would be interested to know you think they're all the same 10 guys jerking each other off.
BP also called the health insurance change and was where BPF and both ALPA drives really coalesced. It's where we first found out how bad the lodge was gonna stink. I'd say it's closer to the pilot group pulse than a relative newbie with thin skin.

I have never had any success signing up, even after multiple e-mails.

You will get sucked in and never leave.
But it is fun and I feel it has become a little more civil. Once you accept the fact that even presented with the truth people will believe what they want you will be good to go. It's a good group of guys with a few odd balls but that's what keeps it intresting vs the boring but much needed ALPA board.

It's a terrible place to ask questions and generally the least useful/informative message board I've ever been on.
There is not enough time in the day of anybody with a life to weed through the drivel on there to find what small nuggets of worth may exist.
For entertainment only. And even at that it rarely satisfies. The most common posters have this "master of the universe" complex while at the same time always thinking someone is out to get them.

Thank you. My sentiments exactly. Tin foil hats should be standard issue for those guys.

The board serves its purpose. B!tching, yes, whining, yes. Guilty as charged, but...
The way the JetBlue cult is structured BP.com is the only avenue to learn about incidents, safety issues, scheduling, benefit changes etc. Pilots like snoopy make sure the group is informed about the reality of changes Jetblue claims are beneficial. Most pilots believed the vacation or health care changes were beneficial until BP.com revealed the truth.
Read between the lines and you will learn a great deal.

I will not waste my time. I will get my information from the reps, period. BP is a bunch of winers. Half of them need to quit. We have a Union now to get information from. If we don't trust them, we know who they are and we can question them till we vote them out if need be.
