Delta JV settlement. Any news on the payout?
I realize the 800 pound gorilla in the room is the TA, but has there been any news on when/how the $30 million is to be distributed. I just checked all my ALPA emails ( there have been a lot) but nothing since the announcement of our winning of the grievance.
I realize it ain't much, but it'd be a nice little windfall.

And I suspect it will be crickets re: the settlement until the vote is complete.

Probably spot on with that. In the meantime does the $$ sit in an interest bearing account in Alpa's name?

DALPA has gone radio silent on the settlement. They rolled the fix into the TA and are trying to sell it. They are hoping no one pays attention.
Anderson can't get AF/KLM to pay ball. He can't sign an agreement that he can't honor. He's in a fix. So, he got DALPA to fix it for him. In the process of constructive engagement, DALPA gave away our flying on the top and bottom ends. Less widebody flying and more RJ's. Something for everyone.

I talked to a couple ALPA guys about it at the last MEC meeting.
They said it will be split the exact same as profit sharing. Straight W-2.
They aren't going to announce anything right now though.
They've got enough of a ****storm going with the TA vote.

They've got the $$ (supposedly) and the methodology so why not just pay us our money?

I say this as a guy who stands to benefit from a w-2 method.......but that is complete BS. A senior 777 captain would not have made another dime if Delta complied with the contract. Lots of folks did not upgrade,or move up in their category. Hard to quantify, but, I think we should take the settlement, divide it by the number of pilots, and move on.
