Unlikely but he or she won't have time to talk to all 4 at a job fair, only 2 so this thread will help.

I've done STL-ATL, MSP, DTW. STL-ATL is easiest right now if you are mainline and can reserve jumpseat. MSP is OK, DTW is harder because of limited flights and RJs. I won't do STL-LGA due to only RJs and offline and all other headaches of NYC despite the seniority. With Delta.

Thanks flyguy81,
I think SWA & DAL are far and away my best commute options out of STL...I have a neighbor who commutes STL-MSP for DAL with no issue but I was thinking STL-DTW may be just about the same capacity and a bigger/more junior base for better seniority quicker?! DAL has sent me the "fix it" emails so I'm hopeful that when I get closer to my Feb '15 avail date I'll get an interview shot with them....Cheers, bkC130

Msp fluctuates between mainline and RJ's.
SWA is the biggest carrier into STL with Delta being number 2. I did ord for 1.5 yrs and it sucked. LGA for 4 and no real issues.

The Ord commute is probably the only one I would do. STL to Ord is one of the most seamless commutes you can do because they're so close it really just feels like part of your schedule. You only lose a few hours from home before and after a trip rather than half a day on each side for longer commutes. If you have to fly anything more than 1 hour I would not commute, it's not worth it even for Delta. I have no idea how guys do cross country commuting.

BK - make sure you take a look at Passrider.com it'll give you an idea of home flights are in and out of STL. I relied on passrider pretty heavily when I was commuting from LIT to FLL.
I won't lie, commuting sucks and unless you absolutely have to live in STL, life is so much better living in base.

DAL pilot, been commuting for 20+ years from STL to Dallas, CVG, ATL, DTW and all three NYC airports. CVG not recommended. The rest are doable but you may be on other airlines. Commuting is a frame of mind. Have backups, including double legging it. Never missed work because of the commute.
