Worth the wait
I am a Navy pilot that has a home on Kauai. I almost retired in 2009 and again in 2011 but knew the hiring was slow at best. Then when my son started college in 2013 I panicked about being without a job. I managed to keep getting flying jobs and now I am retiring for sure next Summer. I hope the hiring does pick up because HAL is the place to be. I know plenty of pilots there and all of them are happy people.

The pay scales are listed on this site. First year probably not comfortable. Although not sure what your needs are

If people can live in New Hampture, why on earth would you be required to live in Oahu? Yes, while on reserve you're a 3 hour call out but the other 12 days off you can be in Timbucktoo
