^^^Spot on! Move to where you are happiest. If you stay in your current position and remain unhappy, that could hurt you later in your chances to get on with a major. Meeting the right person who can help you get an interview happens when you least expect it, and if you're loathing around miserable, that could effect their first impression they have about you. I made a lateral move from one regional to another and later hired at a major, they didn't even ask about it during the interview at the major Good luck and have fun chasing women!

Thanks for the advice and I guess sorry for the sob story of a post, I want to be at the regionals (not for life), Im not tiller envy or anything and this move isnt to get PIC time, there are places to go for that. I just am thinking my situation is mere QOL, I moved across the country for this job with the notion of "living on the beach will rock". Its not what I thought it would be and I never really liked the east coast to begin with. I am just unsure if I should stick it out with my company and maybe commute or just go somewhere like SKW where I can move back to my home city and have some midwest flying

Skywest could potentially be looked at as a move up depending on what regional you're with. Reading about your situation, I feel for you because we've all made moves that didn't turn out to be what we had hoped. I think you should apply to SKW tonight, you'll be at an interview within a week, and in class within 2 months max. Good domicile options too.

I would look at who the carriers you want to work for are hiring.
AA hires ex-mil, and flow thru. This won't really change moving forward.
UAL hires a lot of regional guys, but the key is they have mostly been check airmen.
DAL is kinda all over the board. But the strongest candidates are ex-mil and check airmen.
SWA hires single seat fighter guys, and check airmen.
jetBlue tends to hire guys from all over. I got a call out of the blue, just a regular line guy, but many of them have been passed over. Again check airmen letter helps bigtime.
Spirit, as their deliveries wind down I think you'll see more F/O's getting called there.
Just some thoughts. AWAC is a good company, but personally I think you really missed the boat when you didn't jump to PSA or PDT. With upgrade comes the ability to become a check airmen, and in fast growing companies they tend to allow most anyone interested in it in. At AWAC, it was a tough nut to crack for many years due to no movement. With a check airmen letter you can pretty much write your own ticket.
Don't look at spending many years at a regional. Rip the bandaid off. You want to spend the majority of your time at your career airline.
