On the upside, rapid expansion that has precipitated all of these one year upgrades is coming to a halt. No more new bases and status quo; of misery at the bottom that is.

All the regionals were forced to bump pay and sign contracts drastically this year and last, the next ones to feel pain are LCCs. G4 doesn't have the infrastructure to train replacements and expansion at the same time, so it will likely be in their benefit to sign a contract sooner than later.

You hear it loud and clear from the chief pilot on down, “Don't worry boys a contract is coming”. That is their mandate from the top, keep placating.

As it stands now, the LCCs may have a problem with staffing. Allegiant management is playing the delay card as best they can. You know like taking the right NMB and/or FAA peeps to luxury vacations, and/or someone's house being purchased at a 1000% markup; facilitated by an army of 1000/hr. union busting attorneys. So long as they can wait and run the pilot group for cheap, that's millions in their pockets. Allegiant management is hoping to last long enough to see through another calamity that cripples the industry as a whole. That would take care of attrition, they already know the company is profitable at 150bl oil.

The question is for our eager beavers who have valiantly slogged up through the regionals of hell, do you believe this particular set of scum bags by a different name? Is there a contract right around the corner? So why not comply with all applicable FARs as mandated by the morals clause of our ATPs.

To get back to answering a few questions from pilots......
New pilots are getting a mix of bases. My class was all airbus and it was a mix of bases, the most junior got VDB followed by FLL I believe. We have a mix of CVG, PIT, FLL, PIE. I cannot tell you about the March class as it was all MD80 and not sure of the bases they were awarded.
Phone interview was pretty basic, tell me about yourself, why Allegiant and such. If you google Allegiant interview that gave me a good idea what to expect. They really want you to want to be here. I suggest you say you are willing to move to your base and that if asked you do not say you want to fly for jetblue or spirit. Yeah we all know that everyone has resumes out but they dont want to hear about it. As written at length in this thread some people are not happy with the progress of negotiations, come here with eyes open and I would not expect more than what is currently in the contract (my 2 cents). As a new hire it has been very good so far, everyone is really nice. Training is training and while in training you are not in control of anything, deal with it. Training is not as polished as it could be, we were the first class to do computer based training for indoc and there were a few hiccups (to be expected). I came here because I live close to a base I could hold as a new hire and they have a base that I can hold when I kids go to college. My life decisions are very different than yours. Learn what you can about the place, take a interview if offered for nothing else than to practice in case United/delta/AA calls. Worst case they offer you a job, you take it, get a airbus type and then go to where you want to be.

I was planned to be done with type June 1 (Feb 22 start), but had a scheduling problem and am now pushed back at least 3 weeks. I do not have a set type ride date yet, but expect one this week.

Now like everything else is subject to the whims and fancy of g4 management. If you work for Allegiant, you do so ‘at will’. One day a policy, the next not. So, something to ponder when any of these g4 management people are running their lips.
You make a good point though, if you come here don't expect a contract from this management.
