The reason for the poor coverage is because the analysts didn't include turnover in their excel spreadsheet. There isn't a conspiracy. Anyone who has seen the inside of corporate knows that there isn't anyone steering the ship. It's just people running around trying to save a dollar here or there so they get a pat on the head from MG. That sums up all the issues throughout this company.

The post a few back about audits over the TDY base is a perfect example. They are trying to save a dollar on you to show MG and get ahead.

That is why we have such a "move the metal" culture in maintenance. Because it costs money to keep a spare.

It's why we have high turnover because every day they keep the dance going in negotiations to save money and look good to MG.

If you suggest spending money on the operation you get a nice email written to all employees by MG thanking you for your service and wishing you well on your next job.

Things are slowly changing for the better and we do have some good people trying very hard to make a change. Let's hope it works.

None of which matters, you are acting like any of this even matters. Allegiant is simply a get rich quick scheme for a few insiders. Allegiant's demise can come from one a few angles, but its coming none-the-less.

I'm not sure whether they wouldn't hire you or you just like to play pretend that you're in a big boy game. My respect level for you only gets lower by the post. (And because of where YOU choose to work, it was never that high to begin with... As a former Eagle, I'm sure you can figure out why...since you're so smart). Go back to your PSA thread.

Facts are the company tends to hire middle aged pilots, and the pay scales for CA's barely budge between years 3-12. 401K is the same. Most middle aged pilots have about the same medical costs, some older guys might skew upwards but that is offset by the lack of children. Vacation time is negligible with the PTO setup. On top of this, the training department is not setup for high turnover and growth like a regional is. There really is no point for mgmt to encourage turnover, or try to limit longevity, at least with the current work rules.
I second this as well. High turnover is never in a company's best interest. The amount of hypothetical gain in the pay difference between a junior to a senior captain (especially given the current rates) will never offset the training cost of a new hire. But companies take this into account as, a cost of doing business, hence the projected attrition numbers provided by JB are not invalid, however that doesn't mean in any way that it is condoned or even a company strategy.

Guys that are considering Allegiant as their prospective employment must take some of these nay sayers on here with some skepticism and possibly with a large grain of salt.

No you are mistaken. Let's not pretend that the most likely reason for Allegiant's demise isn't in the back of everyone's mind.

Hello.


First post here. Just looking for info on the video interview at Allegiant for pilots? I've heard the flight attendants have been doing this for about a year but I can't find anything on pilots doing it. If anyone has any info on that I'd appreciate it. Thank you.

The FO's leaving during or after ground school is probably less of a reflection on G4, and more likely due to them applying to a bunch of places at once... Maybe G4 gave them the first class date but then someone better offered them a class. Same thing has been happening at Southwest and Atlas lately.

Yes but the point is that new hires have options, and some are exercising them to work for a company that doesn't jeopardize their credentials and recognizes their credentials with appropriate compensation.
